How to take your own Instagram pictures using a clicker

Welcome to part 3 of my Influencer Series! Are you tired of waiting on your friends to take your Instagram pics for you? When they take them do they look crazy? Here's 1 of 4 ways you can take your own Instagram pictures by yourself so you never have to rely on someone else again.

Equipment & Things You will Need

Outfit, accessories, props

Tripod and clicker

(My tripod and clicker is linked below)

Location & Lighting (if inside)

You want to find the best possible light. I use a ring light.

(my ring light is linked below)

If you don't have a ring light don't worry use a big window that brings in lots of light as your source.

Location(if outside), Lighting, and Set Up

After you have gathered all the equipment you will need for your shoot it's time to find a location and get everything set up. I suggest looking on Pinterest and figuring out what vibe you are going for. After you know what kind of location google places near you or look on Instagram in location tags for your area. I also drive around and location scout before shoots and make notes for future shoots.

Picture Location Suggestions

My favorite places to shoot are parking garages, the beach, in front of flower/plants, and white buildings.

Parking garages are great on Sundays because there's most likely not going to be alot of people out.

The beach is just always a vibe

In front of flowers and plants makes it feel like you are on vacation

White buildings give a clean city feel.

Using Clicker

There are 2 ways you can take picture with a clicker. Live clicks and self timer clicks. I am not sure if there is a better word for this, but this is how I describe it.

Live clicks- First connect the clicker to your phone and/or camera then open the camera app and click away. It'll help if the shutter sound is on so you can hear as your phone takes the pictures. It's that easy!

Self timer clicks- This is pretty much the same thing except you will put your phone in self timer mode and select how many photos you want it to take. Instead of constantly having to go back and forth to start the timer over you simplify hit the clicker and it'll do it for you.

Mark your Spot

Also make sure you mark your spot with an object so you will know where to stand.

Look Through Pics

Now that you are done taking pictures it is time to look through. After you have the desire pictures it's time to edit!

Editing Tips

Because she were taking screenshots the quality will be a little reduced so the first thing you want to do is SHARPEN the image. This will take out a lot of the blurriness and make the quality crisper.

After you've sharpened the image edit how you desire.
